Down in the grasslands of southern Arizona lies a little farm & fermentery. With rolling hills, fruit trees, lavender fields, mountain views, and stunning desert skies - The Meading Room in Sonoita is a special place in the heart of Arizona wine country. A project born out of a love of growing and making things, the meadery opened it's doors in 2019 with mother & daughter duo, Kylie & Barbara at the helm. With raw honey sourced from small, organic apiaries, fresh fruit, herbs, spices, and wild foraged ingredients- every mead, cider, & wine crafted at the meadery highlights the flavors & smells of the natural world in a way that is so uniquely their own.​​
​​​What is mead you ask? Mead is one of the oldest alcoholic beverages around, and one of the tastiest! By fermenting honey with yeast, you can create some of the most delicate and complex flavors around. Lucky for you, we have searched far and wide for some of our favorite honey and we're able to bring this ancient libation (with a modern twist) to southern Arizona wine country. Every single one of our products are made in house, and you can bet your bottom that it will always be made with farm fresh ingredients.
